Welcome to QWirky Cottages

We offer a choice of two well-equipped holiday cottages, available all year round. Both are set in the picturesque market town of Wirksworth, Derbyshire, which offers an ideal base for exploring the county. Short breaks and mid-week to mid-week bookings are accepted from September to June.

Saddler's Cottage

Saddler's Cottage sleeps 4/6 and sits in the heart of the old town. It has an extremely well equipped kitchen for those who like to unwind by cooking, and a cosy sitting room with log burning stove. An odd shaped cottage, vaguely triangular, it exudes charm and character with it's beamed ceilings and original windows. It is conveniently situated for all Wirksworth's facilities and events.

Flat-iron Cottage

Flat-iron Cottage sleeps 2 and sits on the hillside in the hamlet of Bolehill overlooking the town. This cottage is definitely triangular, hence the name. A cottage for both the romantic and the intrepid! Flat-iron has storage space for 2 bicycles plus hanging space for wet weather gear, hiking boots etc and after a day spent tramping the Peak District what could be more romantic than to curl up in front of the log burning stove and later retire to the four poster bed.

General Information for Both Cottages PDF Print E-mail

  • Bed linen and towels included.

  • Both cottages have gas central heating.

  • Basic gas, electricity and logs included in price. Additional fuel charged extra. For further details see terms and conditions with the price list.

  • Welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, bread and a bottle of wine.

  • Further provisions can be ordered in advance. We offer a larder stocking service in conjunction with local producers. Details will be included with your booking confirmation.

  • Parking is on street and free of charge although waiting times of 40mins apply at Saddler's Cottage between 9am and 5pm Mon to Sat. There is a pay and display car park just round the corner from Saddler's Cottage. Overnight rate 20p.

  • A Derbyshire Dales District Council weekly parking pass for local pay and display car parks is included for all visits of 7days or more.

  • No smoking in the cottages.

  • No pets allowed.
