Cinema (Independents) in Derbyshire DalesMuch of the Derbyshire Dales is situated within the beautiful White Peak area of the Peak District National Park, the second most visited national park in the world. Our main towns are Ashbourne, Bakewell, Buxton, Matlock and Wirksworth. As you would expect there are plenty of activites to suit your needs within the Derbyshire Dales.For residents and visitors alike the opportunity to make a trip to the cinema is to be found in several of the larger towns and cities surrounding the area, however there is an increasing number of Independent Cinemas and Smaller Cinema Clubs to be found. Most of the smaller clubs show their films on an occasional basis so please be careful to check the dates. It is usually possible to attend as a visitor but do check that membership is not required before you try them out.
