Hardwick Hall

is in the care of The National Trust and stands at the edge of the Derbyshire Dales. It is a magnificent example of Elizabeathan archtecture built at the end of the 16th century for 'Bess of Hardwick', the country's second most powerful and wealthy woman. It is a treasure trove of Tudor antiquities and contains spectacular 16th & 17th century tapestries and embroideries.
With a wonderful herb garden, fine historic parklands, an orchard and garden together with rare breeds of cattle and sheep, there is something to interest everyone.
