Dales Country Houses

Much of the Derbyshire Dales is situated within the beautiful White Peak area of the Peak District National Park, the second most visited national park in the world. Our main towns are Ashbourne, Bakewell, Buxton, Matlock and Wirksworth. As you would expect there are plenty of activites to suit your needs within the Derbyshire Dales, some of the oldest and grandest country houses are to be found here.  For the grand scale Chatsworth House is hard to beat, but the more intimate feel of nearby Haddon Hall may be more to your taste. Other locations within easy reach include Hardwick Hall, Bolsover Castle, Eyam Hall, Tissington Hall, the ruins of Peveril Castle and at the Derby end Kedleston Hall and Elvaston Castle.
